FOUNDATIONS OF DESIGN
The Foundation Studios are concerned with introducing the basic elements and the principles of two-dimensional design. The aim is developing an understanding of the visual language while improving abilities in abstract thinking and problem solving.
The Foundation Studio courses, taking 8 hours per week each semester, constitute the core of the undergraduate education at the Department of Graphic Design. These courses, which aim to deliver professional education via hands-on practice, are conducted in a studio environment.

The Department of Graphic Design strives to promote visual literacy, and the production of visual language to communicate messages through illustration, typography, photography, advertising, computer graphics, packaging, and contemporary media. To this aim, students are encouraged to utilize and experiment with contemporary production technologies.

I was an external member of the teaching staff and supported the Foundation Studios 8 hours each week for a year.
